Javad Keyhani, MD

I am a primary care physician and professor at the University of Minnesota.  My passions are helping people, and teaching and learning. I went into medicine because I saw that the practice of medicine was difficult to navigate and understand and I wanted to help people with this.  I joined Smiley's to be part of a learning community.  I do a lot of my work and teaching in the area of Addiction Medicine. I also have an interest in Pain, Procedures, Hospital Medicine, and Wellness/Integrative Care. I have been growing my practice in the areas of housing instability/homelessness, and LGBTQAI+ care.  My hobbies include improv, movies, cooking, travel, and spending time with my family and pets.
